Original review Dec 04, 2016
I am going to preface saying no one likes to be taken as a fool. On 8/1/2016 while at Las Vegas Market, I was charged $10,144.50 for products I could have purchased for $1276.61.

I paid $7244.50 by credit card and $2900 by check.. I have no itemized receipt for the product sold to me. Also, looking through the box I received, I did not receive what I was shown at market, I remember there were two long black boxes that were termed eye treatments which was the first purchase of $2900 (with check), I received only one black box. I did not order Vivo Per Lei Milk Cleanser Lotion 2.7 oz or Vivo Per Lei Purifying Facial toner, 2.7 oz.

This is what I received, annotated is the online price for the product you charged me $10,144.50 for: Hexalin Expression Corrective Cream, 2.4 0z 99.00 Truffoire Fine Line Filler, .46 oz 450.00 Vivo Per Lei Cell Renewing Night Cream, 1.7 oz 7.79 Divine Dead Sea Tightening Face Lift, 1.5 oz 149.99 Vivo Per Lei Milk Cleanser Lotion, 2.7 oz 8.95 (Did not order) Vivo Per Lei Vitamin C Repairing Serum, 1.22 oz 26.20 Dead Sea Hexalin Elastic Lift Thermal Mask, 2.04 oz 104.99 Dead Sea Intensive Firming Eye Serum, 1.7 oz 118.50 Vivo Per Lei Purifying Facial Toner, 2.7 oz 8.25 (Did not order) BOXED AS SET DSC Hexalin Intensive Revival Facial Serum, 1.7 oz 98.95 Hexalin Elastic Lift Thermal Mask, 2.4 oz 104.99 Hexalin Expression Corrective Cream, 2.4 oz 99.00 The above product totals 1276.61 if purchased online, I was told that this product was not available online. Based on the above analysis, I am owed $1623.39 after I am credited for credit card charges. I was told this product produced permanent results, after checking with a dermatologist was told that this is just a temporary fix. So, I did not only NOT receive what I was shown at Market, the product was grossly misrepresented.

Plus I have been cheated monetarily gouging. I went back to my credit card company and requested a chargeback which I explained product is unopened and factory sealed and I would return the product after I am refunded. Alas, there is a reply dated on 11/4/2016 handwritten with no signature or contact info stating that I purchased the product face to face and knowingly agreed to the sale. Therefore my chargeback is denied.

Let me say that this was extremely high pressure sales and I made it clear if I found this product online cheaper, they would get their product back. I was assured this product was not available online. I was also told that this product was 'botox in a bottle' also a lie, I was told that this product was able to give 'permanent results' - also a lie. Info paperwork received from my credit card company shows I signed my name multiple times and I only recall signing my name 3 times at best on a tiny computer screen.

When I saw the printout it showed that I had to return the product within 24 hours with a 25% restocking fee which is criminal in itself.

I sent a certified letter to the company and it was returned 'undeliverable', their phone number is not answered. These people need to be stopped and held accountable, what they do is akin to theft.

I too got scammed. I hope others find this comment before they purchase these products.

When I was at the show, I asked to see the online prices and they let me glance one product that was priced higher than the price I was supposedly getting. I was tired and was in a disability vehicle and they pressed and pressed until I gave in.

Most people don't complain because they are too embarrassed/I am too old to care.

I filed a complaint with BBB, State AG, FTC and this complaint online.

Deep Sea Cosmetics Dead Sea Facial Peeling Gel Review

Deep Sea Cosmetics Dead Sea Facial Peeling Gel Review

Definite scam. High pressure sales--consultant told me to "try the peeling gel for the first week and if you do not like it, bring it back!" When I returned the next day following one very small use, they presented me with the excuse that they will only accept unused product.

They provided me with an email address to request a refund. I received a return email the next day apologizing for the inconvenience and asked that I return to the kiosk for a refund. Upon arriving, they said it was a misunderstanding and that they would not refund because it was used--I showed them the email and they still played games...offered me "free" gift instead but I demanded my money. They finally agreed to return 70% of my money.

After receiving my partial refund, I found it to be great pleasure to help them lose 4 potential sales as the next customers approached. It may be childish, but felt oh so gratifying!

Note their sign about no refunds for unused product... it is backwards on the kiosk (left corner of counter)-- accidental or intentional on their behalf!

Resolved: Sexual harassment by salesman

So - update. After DSC refused to return my emails or deal with me fairly on the phone, I finally got somewhere.

Original review Oct 19, 2016
I am writing with respect to an experience I had at the Deep Sea Cosmetics kiosk in the Westfield Mall in San Francisco on Sunday October 16, 2016. I was very seriously sexually harassed by a male salesperson at this kiosk as I was shopping at the mall. I am a visitor to the city from a small town in Canada, a lone female, who was shopping by myself. As I was walking past, the salesperson from Deep Sea Cosmetics kiosk grabbed me by the arm and began giving me a hard sales pitch. I was not interested, but was trying to be polite. He started off by trying a scrub out on my arm, which seemed harmless enough, but it soon escalated into a situation that I felt I had no control over and could not get out of. The salesperson was repeatedly hugging me, putting his arm around me and making very sexually suggestive comments to me, touching my face and hair all over and telling me how beautiful I was. And he kept putting products on my face, even though I repeatedly said I was not interested and that they were too expensive. I had absolutely no idea how to react as nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I felt trapped and despite being in a mall full of people, I didn't know what to do and did not want to make a scene. I am alone here in a strange city, in a strange country with no one to call for assistance.

Wanting to end the encounter, I bought the products he was selling, as every time I said no, he just redoubled his harassment against me. He was standing so very close to me and had me cornered in a chair that I could not get up to leave. He had also taken a bag I was carrying and put it out of my reach so that I could not just flee. I thought that I could just return the products for a refund later. However, I've just been told on the phone that there is no refund. I find this very odd, as these products are incredibly expensive and most high end retailers accept returns for a refund. It does say at the bottom of my receipt that there are no refunds, but I did not see a sign at the kiosk indicating that there are no refunds. Subsequent research has indicated that this is in violation of California Civil Code 1723. At no time was I told that I could not return the products. I feel completely taken advantage of and very seriously violated.

These products cost a lot of money, more money than I can afford. I just needed to get out of the situation for my own personal safety and it was the only way I could think of to do that. Now I feel doubly violated in that I can't even get my money back.

Sexually harassing someone into buying something is completely out of line and shouldn't be tolerated in this day and age. I have complained to the Westfield mall about this issue and they have informed me that they are taking steps to ensure that this does not happen again. I have called the Deep Sea Cosmetics head office in Florida who has told me that there are no refunds and that they are not associated with the kiosks. I have written to the Deep Sea Cosmetics head office about this issue, as well as to the San Francisco kiosk with an e-mail address I found online. It is very difficult to find any additional information about this company or any other contact information. I have not gone back to the mall as to be honest, I am scared of running into this salesperson again.

So - update. After DSC refused to return my emails or deal with me fairly on the phone, I finally got somewhere.

I had submitted a complaint to the California Attorney General and they got in touch a couple of weeks ago and told me that they would contact DSC. Lo and behold - about a week later I got an email from DSC's general counsel saying that they would be sending me a cheque for the full amount. They asked me to confirm my address and provide a copy of my receipt, which I did.

I have not heard back from them, and have not yet received my cheque, but I only heard from them about a week and a half ago, so I'll give them a bit more time (I also live in Canada, so it will take a bit longer for the cheque to get here). But here's hoping there is a successful resolution!

At the mall with my granddaughter and this beautiful French guy grabs me by the arm and began his sell. I could not understand him at fist as his accent was overwhelming hard to pass through.

He pulled me over to the stand (2 feet maybe) and asked me to sit for a minute. My granddaughter was pushing also because she liked the accent and wanted to hear him talk. He tried two products on me and made it appear to have gotten dirt off of me (just took shower) as he made issue of how much I wasn't getting removed and his product would. I was shocked at the supposed "dirt".

So I kept listening. He then put something under my eyes (2 products) and then got something and put on just under one eye. I have a little puff area which immediately went down, and wrinkles around eye slightly faded. I looked in mirror and again, couldn't believe the change.

Then he priced products to me told me what I needed and kept going with how had to use this and this. All together cost me a little more than $500.00 . He acted as if the products he used were the ones that I was getting. He then pretended how much he liked me and would do me a favor of giving extra products for free and was also opening a facial spa and he would give full facial for free and I would be his before and after favorite because this was going to change me to a beautiful wrinkle free girl again.

I bought it all hook and sinker. He said I would have immediate changes as he showed me but would also keep getting better and better and the products would last me 2 years. Made me promise to open and use everything that night and wake up to a younger me in morning and everyday after. Just make sure to take a picture first.

I did this. The next day, still nothing. Week later, still nothing. I went back asked for my money back (I had brought all of it back and did not touch any products with my hands, used spoon supplied) but was told sorry can't do that.

They do not give refunds unless unopened. That's unsanitary he said. Well, you lied and sold me products that do not do what you showed or said. Then he says you will see after two years.

NO NO NO NO!!!! I did not get any results as you did here. I asked what he used? He said he gave me everything he used.

LIAR LIAR . I never once had the puffiness go down or any fading of wrinkles. He tried to say I must not know how to properly apply. I am not an ***!

I want my money back. I demanded. Then he says he can't write checks for refunds. I said put it back on my card.

Sorry, I don't have access to do that only boss can. I asked for the boss. Oh he works in Nashville or somewhere. Come back in mid September he might be here.

Wouldn't even give m a number. I'm furious at myself for being so *** to believe this but I saw it with my own eyes. I am furious they will not guarantee their product as he also stated twice during his sell. I guarantee you will look younger and softer.

So I'm pissed off and I do not intend on giving up.

I am going to that mall with a protest sign and stand by his kiosk. And make sure the next victims know there are no refunds and it is a scam.

Update. Still no reply at all from this pathetic company.

I have also found out that the ingredients are NOT all natural as stated. He also told me they guaranteed their product. Again another lie. They do not.

They do not give refunds period. Every kiosk these items are sold at have used the same lies, same pressure tactics and not only that, they are using a different product when doing applying at the sales desk. Because theirs does nothing they state. Total scam artists.

Filing a complaint at Better business Bureau and to the mall owner who allow them to continue selling.

Deep Sea Cosmetics - Sales Representative Review

My sweet husband was Christmas shopping at the Markland Mall in Kokomo, IN. Although I DO like the products he got me I don't like how He was tricked into buying more than he needed/wanted.

He got the salt scrub tub and body butter, $60 for the set....which isn't TOO horribly expensive. Theb he was convinced to buy the nail kit...stating it was buy 1 get 2 free. I'm sorry but there is NO way this kit should retail for $90!! It includes hand lotion, cuticle oil, cuticle tool and a nail buffer.

More like a $30 value! These people pounce on you like fresh meat! I absolutely HATE their sale tactics! If I wish to buy lotions, cosmetics, anti-aging creams I will come looking for it.

I don't appreciate being physically grabbed by the arm to stop me as I walk by. And then asked....this is how you let your hands look? Why yes, ***! I work in the medical field and wash my hands and sanitize 100+ times a day!

Last time I was at the mall I was rushing from one end to the other to get to the restrooms (when a girls gotra go a girls gotta go!)when one of their salesmen ranover and grabbed my arm to stop me!!!

I'm honestly amazed that the malls allow this company to set up due to their rude sales tactics! I probably would have bought more of their products after I ran out of what my husband bought but I refuse to support a company that behaves in this manner.

I have tried this product in the mall when they sampled it on me. Yeah, its pricey, n yeah the saleman was too pushy but it actually is a great product. I feel like I have a new face. The only thing I am displeased with is how pushy the salemen are. Even after I brought the product, he was still pushing other products on me. If you buy this product, order it online. Don't let them waste your time in the mall.

I was with my sister in Glenbrook Mall in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

She went up to them because her hands are horrible from her hands being in water a lot due to her type of job. I folled her after I was finished with my other transaction. They put the hand and body lotion ON my hands. Man did it feel GREAT!

The lady and I spoke a lot. She kept saying because you're military and support Isreal I'll give you a great deal. End of transaction we had 3 nail kits and 2 sets if body scrub and body cream for 400.00. We like it a LOT!

I know she was blowing smoke up my ***. After returning home we found the web site and found the items for much less.

Buyer beware. We kind of had buyer remorse, especially since it is Christmas ttime and we bought for our selves.

BIGGEST SCAM OUT THERE---PRESSURE-PRESSURE-PRESSURE

Guest

CEO and Marketing, whoever that may ought to be fired from this ridiculous company. I went to two malls, today and both times was constantly presssured rudely solicited as I walk near by the booth.

FYI, if your going to sale something, please be less aggressive and more honest with consumers in the malls! I observed numerous people truning away from these folks very rude and NO, I'm not going to be SCAMMED like AMWAY!

Guest

I bought the nail kit yesterday and love it so far. They tried charging me 75 for it then 60 but I kept saying I don't have it. I finally paid 30 for the kit

Guest

They will make much better deals, but the fact of the matter is they take advantage of people who are willing to pay ridiculous prices. They were trying to get me to spend $70 each for the scrub and lotion for my daughter. But with proper negotiation and knowing the actual cost I was ahead of the game and spent much, much less.

Liars!!

I got suckered in to letting them put cream on my arm. Biggest mistake!

They are smooth talkers that refuse to let you say no! I mean, he was aggressive. I told him, I could only use my dermatologists products due to my rosacea. He assured me that this helps my skin issue.

Long story short.....it caused a major flare up on my face. I tried to take the products back and they spoke to each other in whatever language they spoke...and told me I couldn't do the return because it was used. When I tried to explain to them, the issue....they say I was being rude to them. My advice.....stay far far away from these people at the mall kiosks.

I'm more mad at myself for spending the money. This happened at Hamilton Place Mall....Chattanooga, Tn.

These people are terrible to get away from. They are selling products with approx 400% mark up!!! DO NOT GET SHOVED INTO THEIR SALES PITCH! They immediately start putting stuff on your face and you can't get away until they at least do the other side. They scammed me for over $500. If you like the product, go online to Amazon or wherever else. You can get the exact same stuff for a fraction of their cost. BIG SCAM AT THE MALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went back with all the products for a refund, but they won't do refunds?????? I would think they could have at least came close to the prices from online I printed off for them to see.
